Getting Help with Your Genealogy Problem in The Northwest Florida Area

Stymied by a genealogical brick wall? Personal assistance is available to family researchers in the Bay County area from a variety of resources. Some are free and some are fee-based. BCGS does not endorse or guarantee any person or entity listed here.

General Research Guidance and Methodology
The Bay County Genealogical Society
offers a variety of educational opportunities including monthly presentations on a variety of subjects at our regular monthly meetings on the third Saturday of each month. We also offer an annual seminar featuring either an introductory series or a collection of more advanced topics.

The Bay County Public Library has a very large collection of "how-to" and location-specific books in their genealogy section. www.nwrls.lib.fl.us/

The Panama City Family History Center can order microfilms from a huge collection of genealogical materials at the Family History Library in Salt Lake. (850) 785-9290
